Floral Abstracts

In this class we will learn how to create bold, bright and energetic semi-abstract floral paintings based on observation from a floral still life arrangement. We will produce a final acrylic painting on paper as well as several smaller sheets of experimentation and sketching. We will focus on the skills of colour mixing, expressive mark making and drawing from direct observation as well as a highly effective and unique approach to creating semi-abstract paintings.

This class is suitable for any skill level from beginner to professional, and is particularly for those looking to loosen up their approach to making art and get brave and bold! I will lead you through it step by step and you’ll be amazed at how confident and expressive your work can become very quickly using this approach!

• We will be using acrylic paints, crayons and paint pens – all water soluble and non-toxic. 
• Aprons will  be provided
