This workshop is designed to develop your observational drawing skills and introduce you to methods for accurate recording of scale, proportion and shape as well as using tonal values and mark making to create a believable illusion of three-dimensional form.
We will be working from photographs – and the course will include how to select good images for future work.
The small group size means this class is suitable for beginners in portraiture through to those who are developing their confidence.
Expect an intensive day of focused drawing.
This workshop would be a good introduction to Lucy’s other workshop – Portraits in Charcoal.
