Gelli Printing – The Sequel! Make jewellery / collage / cards from your printed papers

This workshop is suitable for beginners or anyone who would like to spend time experimenting with paint and printing and will introduce you to the delights of simple printing without a press using Gelli Plates.

In this fun and vibrant workshop, we will spend time in the morning learning the basic techniques of rolling out acrylic paint on to the Gelli plate and making prints on paper. You will be shown how to use a variety of mark making techniques, masking out and resist, stencils, imprints, layered colour and texture to produce exciting and interesting prints on different types of paper to take away with you.

So – now you have all of these printed papers, what’s next? In the afternoon we will then use our created printed papers to make something! You can choose to frame one of your favourite designs with a provided mount to put into a frame later, make some cards, create a collage or make a ring, pendant, brooch and earring set. Oh – and a fridge magnet. Maybe all of those things!

• We will be using non toxic acrylic paint, superglue and mod podge glue. Aprons will be provided but please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on (potentially!)
