An Exhibition of Contemporary Print, Textile and Mixed-Media Practice

16th – 21st June 2026

Bringing together the distinct yet complimentary practices of Su France, Deb Davis and Sinclair Ashman, Edition of 3 celebrates the process and a deep connection to landscape through contemporary printmaking and textile art.

Although each artist approaches their work through different techniques, all three are united by an interest in texture and surface.

Lincolnshire-based printmaker and earth pigment artist Su France pieces often contain printed, sustainably foraged or home-grown botanicals; those incorporating kintsugi techniques – the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery – highlight the beauty in imperfection.

Her site-specific works use pigments found in place, creating rich, muted, earthy colours which evoke calm. She also stitches threads into work on paper or linen, replicating farm marks, and apply metal leaf and sheet to add lustre.

Using environmentally friendly inks, Su’s art finds beauty in overlooked rural details – in the soil, the land, the earth.

Deb Davis is a textile artist based in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. Her work explores the subtle yet vibrant textures found in nature, combining a range of techniques including free-motion embroidery and fabric printing. By layering stitch, print and texture, she creates richly detailed pieces inspired by the natural environment and changing landscapes around her.

Alongside her studio practice, Deb regularly leads workshops where she shares her techniques and encourages others to explore their own creativity through textiles and mixed-media processes.

Experimental printmaker Sinclair Ashman approaches printmaking as a starting point for exploration and discovery. A former graphic designer and abstract landscape photographer, his work moves fluidly between traditional print, folded paper sculpture and mixed-media construction. Through torn, sewn and layered surfaces, poured inks and abstract compositions, he investigates texture, gesture and visual rhythm, often prioritising atmosphere and material presence over direct representation.

Edition of 3 invites viewers to slow down and look closely, to notice the traces, textures and quiet details that connect material, landscape and memory.
