Free Motion Embroidery Taster Day
This workshop will provide a postive creative environment to uderstand & practise the technique of free motion embroidery.
You will be shown how to set up your sewing machine. We will then look at all the different ways we can use free motion embroidery:
1) Appliqué: you add a fabric shape to a base fabric, use free motion embroidery to keep the shape in place but also add detail.
2) Drawing: free motion embroidery as sketching tool, with which you can produce “sketch like” images.
3) Writing
On this workshop we will explore all of these ways of using free motion embroidery. You will produce collection of examples of each of the above.
Please bring your own sewing machine which can drop the feed dogs & bring an embroidery foot. If this is a problem please contact deb by email: allsewnupbydebs@gmail.com

Deb Davis
I am a textile Artist based in Woodhall spa Lincolnshire. I enjoyusing a range of techniques in my work. These include Free Motion Embroidery & printing on fabric. I combine these techniques to emulate the subtle yet vibrant & textures I see in nature. I love sharing techniques with others to help them explore their creativity.
