A joint exhibition 21st October to 2nd November
We are delighted to invite you to Abundance, a joint exhibition bringing together the work of three artists whose practices are deeply inspired by the flora, fauna, and rolling landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The exhibition celebrates the richness of nature that surrounds us — from the delicate structures of wildflowers and grasses, to the textures of ancient trees, to the wildlife and open skies that define our corner of the world. Though each artist works in a different medium, there is a common thread of texture, tactility, and a deep connection to place running through the collection.
Introducing Clare – The Foxglove Tree
Hello, I’m Clare, an artist and maker based in the Lincolnshire Wolds. My work centres on botanical casts — unique artworks that preserve the fleeting beauty of plants and flowers in plaster.
Each piece begins outdoors: I gather seasonal plants and flowers, either foraged from the countryside or grown in my own garden. Pressed into soft clay, the plants leave behind intricate impressions of every vein and petal. I then cast these in plaster, creating what I like to think of as “modern fossils” — timeless records of the living world around us.
For Abundance, I’m presenting a collection of large-scale botanical casts that invite viewers to slow down and notice the details of nature we often pass by. Alongside these pieces, I’m also showing my smaller handcrafted works, including fragrance diffusers and decorative casts, which bring a touch of the natural world into everyday life.
My practice is rooted in sustainability and mindfulness, celebrating both the fragility and resilience of the plants that surround us. Through texture, form, and shadow, I hope my work offers a sense of closeness to nature and its abundance here in the Wolds.
Introducing Debs

Hello, I’m Debs, a textile and mixed media artist based in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
I use a range of print techniques, free-motion embroidery and applique in my work, all of which provide depth and texture to my finished pieces.
I utilise print in a variety of ways: block printing with carved hardwood blocks, thermofax printing and collagraph plates, all of which are inspired by the natural world surrounding my home.
Free-motion embroidery is my passion. It provides a creative freedom to produce the images which inspire me.
Applique adds layers and texture to my work, whether I’m using paper, old recycled fabrics, printed texts or even old maps.
The natural world, both fauna and flora, is at the creative core of all my pieces and provides an unending supply of inspiration
For this ‘Abundance’ exhibition, I shall be exploring and show-casing much-loved natural images combined with a contemporary exploration of the emotions they stimulate within the observer.
Introducing Katie

Hello, I’m Katie, a punch needle artist based in Lincolnshire with a passion for keeping this traditional rug making technique alive, having discovered my Grandfather’s punch needle in the bottom of an inherited sewing box.
I am drawn to the textural nature of my craft and find immense satisfaction from the handmaking, meditative process of punch needle, creating thousands of loops of yarn in each finished piece. The craft was originally one of necessity, and I love to create functional pieces of work in honour of this practical heritage (such as door stops), in addition to my decorative wall art.
My current work draws inspiration from European folk art motifs and concepts, especially from Scandinavia, mixed with influences from the abundant nature and landscape of the Lincolnshire Wolds as they change throughout the year. Also embracing my love of antique and heritage items, I challenge myself to reimagine often overlooked items and present them to a contemporary audience in a new light through the incorporation of my punch needle work. Recently this has included enveloping stoneware vessels and reupholstering decades-old furniture, as examples.
I am a member of Heritage Crafts, the national charity for heritage crafts in the UK, and a proud recipient of one of their 2024 Training Bursaries, enabling me to further develop my punch needle skills. In October 2025, I will also complete my Oxford Punch Needle Teacher Certification, further deepening my knowledge and skills and enabling me to pass these onto another generation of makers.
Within this joint ‘Abundance’ Exhibition, I will be showcasing some of my wall art, furniture and smaller 3D items, along with greeting cards and textile pieces featuring my work. I hope viewers discover this heritage craft, feel drawn to its abundant texture and inspired by the local landscapes at their heart.
Abundance in Collaboration
Together, our three practices form a conversation about the textures, rhythms, and richness of the natural world. Though we work in different media, our pieces share a tactile quality — inviting the viewer not just to see, but to feel the abundance of the Lincolnshire landscape.
We hope you will join us in celebrating this abundance — in form, texture, and spirit.
