06 June–Morning–Epic Workshop Event £30pp Choose one: Reepham & Cherry Village Hall LN3 4DU
We are hosting a fun creative day full of 2 hour workshops at Reepham & Cherry Village Hall! Come along, bring friends, try new stuff and meet us all. It’s £30 per workshop. (Do morning, afternoon or both!) It’s a bargain day for arty ones!
£30pp (all materials provided). Classes limited to 8 students. Tea & Coffee provided, please bring a pack lunch if full day.
Choose from the following workshops from 7 of our resident artists:
- Print Making on Fabric with Tetra Pack with Debra Davis: We will mark make on to a clean Tetra pack. Then we will ink up our plates and roll the places through the small press provided and print on to some different fabrics. Use your unique fabric prints for cushions, cards and framed pictures. All materials included.
- Sunset Silhouettes Wet & Needle Felted Picture with Eve Marshall: Learn how to blend Merino wool with silk fibres to created a vibrant sunset. Add buildings, trees or boats and then we will wet felt the fibres with warm soapy water and agitation. Once felted, needle felted details can be added.
- Drawing a Cat’s Eye in Pastels with Fiona Hodges: You’ll begin by learning how to transfer the initial sketch onto pastel paper. Then build colour through layering, blend tones smoothly, and create depth and shine in the eye. You’ll also learn simple techniques for drawing soft, realistic fur around the eye area.
- Negative Space Watercolour Cosmos Painting with Margaret Bird: Learn several drawing and watercolour painting techniques, including looking at the negative space found in between shapes when sketching. Demos on how to paint with washes in a free style to create a page of beautiful summer Cosmos flowers.
- 6 Watercolour Squares for Cards with Sally Kheng: Create 6 mini hand painted watercolour landscape squares using techniques for skies and tress demonstrated first. The cut out and transfer these squares to your card blanks supplied and make 6 beautiful cards to use. All materials supplied.
- Summer Clay Brooch with Mel Langton: Create your own set of playful summer brooches using air-dry clay and vibrant acrylic paints. You’ll shape, design and decorated your own unique and wearable mini pieces of art to take home. No experience needed, so get creative and make something fun and personal.
- Needle Felted Heart Brooch with Robyn Smith: Come and create a beautiful 3D needle felted two-tone heart using wool fibres and embellished with sequins and beads to add some sparkles. The heart is finished with a brooch back so you can wear it on your jacket or coat.
