06 June–Reepham & Cherry Village Hall LN3 4DU–Afternoon–Epic Workshop Event
We are hosting a fun creative day full of 2 hour workshops at Reepham & Cherry Village Hall! Come along, bring friends, try new stuff and meet us all. It’s £30 per workshop. (Do morning, afternoon or both!) It’s a bargain day for arty ones!
£30pp (all materials provided). Classes limited to 8 students. Tea & Coffee provided, please bring a pack lunch if full day.
Choose from the following workshops from 7 of our resident artists:
- Print & Stitch Workshop with Debra Davis: The first part of the workshop we will use a plastic bag and acrylic paints to print onto Calico. The second part of the workshop we will use simple hand stitching to enhance your prints. Running stitch, french knots, back stitch. All materials provided
- Pot of Primroses Wet Felted Picture with Eve Marshall: Learn how to create your own pre felt sheet with Merino wool and textures. We will cut it up into flower petals and leaves. Learn to layer wool fibres with your prefelt to create your own composition. Then we will wet felt the layers together with warm soapy water and agitation.
- Still Life with Soft Pastels with Fiona Hodges: Perfect for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills, this session will guide you step-by-step through creating a simple still life of a jug or vase filled with fresh flowers using blending and layering and other soft pastel techniques.
- Watercolour and Collage Trio Picture with Sally Kheng: Create an A3 watercolour landscape using black acrylic ink to draw with and watercolour inks to paint in, demonstrated first. Then cut out 3 vertical sections and mount together to make a finished picture to add collage to. All materials provided.
- Spontaneous Flowers, a Summer Bouquet with Margaret Bird: Loose watercolour techniques, including looking at the negative space found between shapes when painting. Demos on how to choose colours and paint with washes in a free style to create a beautiful summer bouquet of flowers.
- Summer Box Frame Garden with Mel Langton: Learn how to create your own layered summer garden artwork using colourful papers and simple collage techniques. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll cut, arrange and build a beautiful 3D scene inside a box frame to take home. No experience necessary.
- Wet Felted Soaps with Robyn Smith: Beginner-friendly session to create decorative, exfoliating soap bars by wrapping them in wool fibres and felting them. Choose from a selection of beautiful coloured wools and create some beautiful felted gifts for you and your friends.
