Description
Wet and Needle Felted Puffin Picture
Faff with fluff and create a quirky Puffin picture using Merino wool, colourful curls and pre felt.
Play with colourful wool and textures to wet felt your background in the first part of the class.
Wet felting begins with hot soapy water poured over your layers of wool, then learn how to agitate, roll and throw the piece to make the wool fibres felt and shrink. The finished piece will be approximately a4 size.
Learn how to needle felt shapes to create a trio of puffins on your picture. Flying, swimming and standing puffin poses will be taught, you decide which 3 you’d like to ad to your picture.
Over the last 16 years of teaching felting I have developed techniques to help guide students to create artworks they are proud of. The techniques I use show you step by step to create each puffin using fibres that I use to create my own art.
Please note:
- We will be using a tiny amount of fairy liquid during the wet felting process, please bring gloves if it irritates your skin.
- We will be felting with wool, if you allergic to wool or lanolin please do not book

Eve Marshall has been felting for 18 years and teaching it since 2010. She has experience teaching people of all ages and abilities the magic of felting. She teaches her own tried and tested instant-gratification methods that allow beginners to go home with something they are proud of. Each workshop begins with choosing your colours from a large box of Merino wool. Each person’s piece will be completely their own. Eve tries to teach a variety of techniques during each workshop so that students can choose what they’d like to add to their pieces.
