Abstract Cornish Seascapes
Rachel Rogers, professional mixed media artist will push your boundaries in this full day workshop. Learn to use wax resist, watercolour, acrylic paints and pastels, and how they all work when used together.
Experimenting with different techniques, you will create at least 3 semi-abstract seascapes, inspired by the beautiful and dramatic Cornish coastline.
This workshop is designed to build confidence and challenge traditional thinking on seascapes. Focusing on mark-making, texture, movement to capture the raw energy of the Cornish coast.
A mount will be provided for your selected painting, and is included in the price to finish your final piece.
All materials will be provided at Indigo Crow.
Please bring some lunch, or pop next door to the delivery, as we will have a half hour break.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
About the tutor:
Rachel Rogers is an abstract painter whose inspiration is rooted in landscape and coastal scenery. The Wolds and fens of Lincolnshire and further afield, the coastal waters of Norfolk and Cornwall are among her favourite places to paint. Rachel’s new work celebrates strong images of line, tone and texture and bold colours.
