Exhibition by Robyn Smith and Carly Gilliatt

An exhibition of paintings and felt-work telling stories of time spent in places real and imagined. Open 29 October until 10 November 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Sunday.

Carly is influenced by the landscape and nature around her, the tiny details and patterns, the sense of awe and wonder that lights her up.  This feeds into her work through colour and marks, as she works intuitively building her paintings in acrylic and mixed media, layer by layer.

Robyn is inspired by nature, the landscape and fantastical things. Each piece is a blend of places visited for real or from within the pages of books. She uses both wet and dry felting techniques to create the pictures, vessels and 3d needle felted sculptures of animals and toadstools.
