An exhibition of artwork in different media by 40 Lincolnshire based artists. The exhibition opens on 18 February and runs until 2 March, open daily 10am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday. You are welcome to join us at the preview 21st February 6-8:30pm in the gallery.

The title ‘This is Real!’ Is inspired by a quote from the artist Philip Guston who said:  

“When you’re in the studio painting, there are a lot of people in there with you – your teachers, friends, painters from history, critics… and one by one if you’re really painting, they walk out. And if you’re really painting YOU walk out!”  

The exhibition is organised by Kevin Byron, founder of OPenArtLincs. The info below is from their website:

OPen Art Lincs aims to embrace the wider ‘Open’ movement by building an art community across Lincolnshire in which any artist or art-lover can share their work, knowledge and experiences. This was achieved earlier through the publication of the book ‘What Inspires Art?’ in which 110 artists shared their stories on what moved them to create a particular piece of work*.
