Description
Extended Boxed Landscapes
Watercolour and Collage
Think outside the box!
Step into a world of vibrant colour, distant trees and bold horizons as we explore the magic of atmospheric, abstracted landscape painting.
Using beautiful layers of watercolour washes, we will create the illusion of distance through subtle changes in colour, tone and definition. Experiment with sponges, toothbrushes, collage and unconventional mark-making techniques to suggest natural textures without the need for intricate detail.
Combine traditional watercolours with Artgraf chalks and watercolour inks to build your central boxed image, then loosely extend your painting out to fill your paper.
Discover how a few simple shapes and carefully chosen colours can transform a blank sheet of paper into an evocative semi-abstract landscape, full of interesting shapes and details.
All materials included. Suitable for all abilities.
